Post-Abortion Assessment
Free, confidential nurse examination checks for common complications of abortion.
When Should I Get an Assessment?
You can schedule your post-abortion assessment for 4-6 weeks after you have had an abortion.
The assessment helps you identify common undetected complications of abortion. It does not check if the abortion was complete.
The Goldendale Pregnancy Resource Center is committed to helping women who have experienced abortion and desire follow-up care.
What Should I Expect?
When you arrive, expect to be welcomed and given some simple paperwork to fill out.
You will meet with a nurse to discuss your health as relates to your abortion experience.
The nurse will do some simple tests, which may include a hemoglobin fingerstick and/or a pregnancy test.
You will also have the opportunity to talk with the nurse about how you are doing emotionally and receive support and resources as needed.
